Top 3 dog breeds for families

Summer is just around the corner and I know some lucky families will be bringing home a new puppy to celebrate! The sunny walks with that cute little fur ball are going to be incredible! Just to get you extra excited for summer, I’ve put together a list of the top 3 dog breeds for families! Hopefully my list will help you narrow down your options so you can eventually decide which breed to go with!
Firstly, the loving and loyal Labrador! This is one of the most popular dog breeds in the world. Large in size but gentle and kind in nature, Labradors are most well known for their tolerance and patience with children, as well as their desire to be part of the family. Not only will they fit into the family unit easily, they’re also quite intelligent which makes them easy to train and ensures they will follow commands when out. As pups they are very energetic so you’ll need to give them lots of walks and playtime to keep them stimulated. This is something to consider if you are out of the house for long periods of time as it’s likely they’ll get bored and possibly make a mess.

Secondly, Pugs! Pugs are affectionate dogs that enjoy a comfy place to rest. Pugs feel as though they are a part of the family, so don't be surprised when this breed fits right in with your crew. Their small size makes them a great choice for any sized home. Pugs are an energetic breed that loves to play and enjoys being the center of attention. Count on this loyal and loving breed to be there for everyone in your family.

Thirdly, the Golden retriever. Golden retrievers are one of the most popular dog breeds out there and for good reason. They're friendly and need lots of exercise, making them perfect for families with lots of crazy kids needing to use some energy. Golden retrievers are outgoing and trustworthy, maintaining a playful nature into adulthood. They make great dogs to grow a family alongside.
